EXCITING CLASSES!

We had a wonderful time at Christland School, Ladipo-Oluwole with everyone sharing precious holiday memories and lots of new faces around.

At the end of the class, we all could do nothing but look forward to the next one which promises to be fun-filled and engaging.

A New Drama Session is Here!


Our enthusiastic, energetic teachers, with excellent teaching skills and commitment to our self development programme came together on Wednesday, 28th August 2013 to prepare for a new dramatic, fun filled session.

Term 1 starts first week in September for the Helen O’Grady Drama Academy North Lagos. We are all very excited to welcome back our returning students and looking forward to enrolling new ones.

Set Design.
Students saw the process of creating a set and costume design at the NT. from initial sketches to realization, looking at the work of different NT designers and exploring how plays and space impact design, They were able to create a scale model of their very own set design.

Development and performance of classic two-person scenario

Commedia Dell`Arte.
Students explored character types, physical storytelling, improvisation and developing scenarios.


War Horse Puppetry.
An interactive event revealing how war horse was brought to life for the stage. Students were able to see how the elements of theatre combine to create effects.

Workshop of `The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time`.
Students explored the play`s themes and discovered how the production was made by taking part in the practical workshop.




Holiday programme at the National Theatre, London.



North Lagos students had a nice time work-shopping at the National Theatre London.

Many drama workshops were arranged for them between July and August 2013. These included: Acting, Design, War Horse Puppetry, Commedia Dell`Arte and The Curious Incident Devising.
